1. What Is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a personal development process that focuses on helping individuals identify and achieve their goals in various aspects of life, such as career, relationships, health, and personal fulfilment. A life coach works collaboratively with clients to explore their values, strengths, and aspirations, guiding them in creating actionable plans to reach their desired outcomes.

02

How Does Coaching Differ From Therapy & Other Interventions?

Coaching  focuses on personal development, goal-setting, and performance enhancement. Coaches help clients identify their objectives and create actionable plans to achieve them. The process is often future-oriented and emphasises accountability, motivation, and skill-building. Whereas therapy aims to address mental health issues, emotional challenges, and past trauma. Therapists work with clients to explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviours, often delving into the past to understand present issues. The process can involve diagnosing mental health conditions and implementing therapeutic techniques to promote healing.

Other Interventions such as counselling, mentoring, and consultancy. Each intervention has its own focus and methodology. For example, counselling may provide guidance on specific life challenges, while mentoring typically involves a more experienced individual offering advice and support in a particular field.

What Can I Expect From A Typical Coaching?

A typical coaching session begins with a review of the previous session and what went well for you since our last session together. This helps establish continuity and allows the coach to understand your current state. Next, we discuss your goal and assess progress made towards your goal and make any necessary adjustments. The next step is explore challenges, successes and insights. Then together we will identify specific action steps to take before the next session. This helps create a clear path forward and keeps you accountable.
